Are you a volunteer looking for a unique online training opportunity? The North Carolina Volunteer Workforce Solutions (NCVWS) FEMA SAFER grant is offering 25 scholarships for volunteer members to attend the Brave Fire Leader Online Academy.

This leadership academy is a hybrid model between self-paced and cohort. A cohort is a group of students working together through the same academic curriculum. The training provides a flexible but structured pace to help volunteer members fast track their leadership success. Participants will learn how to develop a flexible leadership style to engage and develop their teams’ members. They also will learn how to use the skills they have to prevent people problems and improve the impact of their job performance.

The academy will run from April through June 2021. Participants will complete three 30-minute online classes every two weeks and participate in bimonthly Zoom calls for 90 minutes on Saturday from 10 – 11:30 AM ET to enhance the learning experience. All participants will be matched with accountability partners to maximize success and provide a unique networking experience.

The deadline to apply is April 5. For questions, contact Derek Bullington
